Alejandro C. Frery (PhD 1993, INPE) has published about seventy articles in peer-reviewed journals. His research areas are Stochastic Models and Statistical Computing, mostly for Image Processing and Analysis. He is currently the Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters, and one of the Distinguished Lecturers of the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society. He is full professor at the Universidade Federal de Alagoas since 2003.
